Greetings, All!!
We
are still accepting (gratefully!) donations for the joint drive between
the Euclid Hunger Center and The Conscious Nest Community.
Currently we are specifically asking for soap products (bar soap, hand
soap, shampoo, dish soap, laundry soap, etc.) but of course we will
gladly accept ANYTHING from our wish list. Basically what we are
looking for are things that Food Stamps won't buy - personal hygiene
products, paper products, etc.
We
are looking for an Event Planner or professional Fund Raiser to help us
plan and execute a fund raising event or two that will help us reach our
goal of paying off the mortgage, which will allow us to realize a
SUBSTANTIAL savings. Anyone with any leads in this regard should
call TheNest, or me (Ally) at 216-970-4198.
We now have, on our website, a "Pay Pal" button. That button is specifically for donations to TheNest, but it can also be used to prepay/preregister for things here at TheNest. You will get a receipt that acknowledges your "donation"; but if you let us know, via email or phone, that your "contribution" is to pay for a class, we will credit it as payment for a class. That is not to say that we will say no to a donation to TheNest, however! Right now, until our 501c3 comes through, your donation is not 100% tax deductible, but a portion IS tax deductible. Then when our 501c3 comes through any donation you make will be 100% tax deductible. I am not ashamed to say that we do need the donations - our goal is to pay off the mortgage on our building just as soon as we possibly can. It will save us over $1300 per month, and for a place such as TheNest, that is a HUGE expense for us. Anything you could contribute, as a donation -- be it $10 or $15 -- would be a huge help to us. I hope you consider it.
We
have had a few calls with respect to our call for more practitioners --
but we would like even MORE. If you or anyone you know would like
to practice within our beautiful facility, please get (or put them) in

Fall
is approaching, I can't believe it's already September!!
We
are going to be adding a series of crafting "workshops" that
will correspond to the Seasons of the year and other memorable
occasions. These workshops will be fun and educational at the same
time! Keep your eye out for an email from TheNest with respect to
the first one of these, which I believe will be a Tuesday evening,
somewhere in the middle of the month of September. Stay tuned.
We will have, on Monday, September 13th at 7:00 p.m. the first of our seasonal "craft night" workshops. This is the Harvest season, and because of that, our first craft night will have us making some harvest-themed items, suitable for our own celebrations, or as gifts to loved one's for their celebrations. I will let you know the fee for the workshop just as soon as I find out from the facilitators of this series. I think this is something that we all can enjoy together, and perhaps exchange stories of our own traditions for the Harvest with the others in the group. Come for an evening of crafting and storytelling! And you may notice that we are starting to have "private event" on our calendars. Yes, people have found out how great TheNest is to lease for their own private events! See what it is that these folks have discovered -- how to "have the place all to yourself" (well, with Zeus, of course!) "Invest in The Nest! Invest in Yourself!!"
