Yoga is a yoga of consciousness – to develop nonjudgmental awareness, or Witness Consciousness. As you practice
on the mat, you notice obvious changes in your physical body, a growing
tolerance to the physical sensations of the postures and increased strength,
flexibility and health. Noticeable shifts occur emotionally and spiritually with
consistent practice also.

Our bodies, our minds and our
spirits LOVE rhythm and vibration. Our mom’s heartbeat was the first rhythm
and vibration each of us heard and felt. Rhythm creates a natural desire to move
while the vibration has a very soothing, somewhat meditative effect. Bring your
drum (or borrow one of ours) and join us on the third Friday of every month.

Ever feel like you are all
alone on your spiritual journey? Sometimes we do too!!! We invite you, yes, YOU,
to join us on the fourth Friday of every month for a relaxing Evening of
Spiritual Exploration.
The evening will include
several of The Nest’s gifted practitioners. Featuring: Reiki
by Ron Barbarino, Massage Therapists, Thai Yoga Massage, Henna Body Painting and Tarot Readers. Friends, fellowship,
vibrant discussions, laughter and sharing as we all journey together.
Every 3rd Thursday of the month, from 6:30 to 9:300 PM. Practitioners will offer a 20 minute session for $20 (Henna designs are priced by
design). Sessions fill up quickly! Sign-up sheets available the night of the
event.
In the Native
American tradition, every full moon has a name and a group of characteristics
– it’s own identity. They go in order and the whole “Wheel” repeats
every year. Also in the tradition, when a woman was having her monthly cycle,
she was separated from the tribe and sent to the Moon Lodge. It was believed
that, during this time, a woman was most intuitive, most wise and most powerful.
Any and all visions or wisdom that emerged from the Lodge was highly revered and
respected. Our Full Moon Lodge is a gathering to share our wisdoms and to
reflect on how this month’s moon identity impacts us and our lives.

Each
of us, as humans, has “roles” we play in this journey of life. In the Native
American tradition, these roles are called “Winds”. At the Wind Lodge we use
the Medicine Wheel to explore and learn about our individual 5 “Winds”, how
they work in our lives, in the world and in connecting with others. Everyone is
welcome to the Wind Lodge.

| Henna has been used to adorn young women's bodies as part of social and holiday celebrations since the late Bronze Age in the eastern Mediterranean. Henna produces a burgundy dye molecule. This molecule has an affinity for bonding with protein, and thus has been used to dye skin, hair, fingernails, leather, silk and wool. Regi has been offering Henna art here at The Nest for just about a year now. Always available at "Sampler Night" and any of our other fundraisers, or you can schedule an appointment directly: (216) 534-7118 |
