Rebecca S. Barbarino

Rebecca Barbarino was born into a family with special abilities. Both maternal and paternal grandmothers were herbalists and healers, practicing a variety of old-time healing arts. Rebeca, herself, was intuitive as a child, but due to the climate at the time, chose to ignore her abilities, which soon faded from her mind.

Approximately five years ago, the ignored gifts would be silent no longer and Rebecca began a self-reflective journey that culminated a road trip to Indiannapolis that required confronting the past and charting a new course for her future.

With Allyson Harris, the formulation of the idea that would become The ConsciousNest was formed.

Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work and is a licensed minister. She also has 1^st and 2^nd degree Reiki training as well as beginning and intermediate Mediumship training. She is currently involved in Advanced Mediumship training.

Rebecca is also the proud mother of two sons and has been happily married for almost 32 years.

Allyson S. Harris

Allyson (Ally) Harris was born in 1958 in Cleveland, Ohio, and was raised in Seven Hills, a southwestern suburb of Cleveland. 

Ally graduated from The Andrews School in 1976, and married her husband of now almost 30 years, whom she met while acting and working back stage in the dramatic productions at Andrews and at the Willoughby School of Fine Arts.

Ally has studied the philosophies and practices of the Western Mystery School and the Native American way of Shamanism.  Today she walks a Shamanic path and strives to live her life according to the teachings of the Medicine Wheel and Sacred Circle Tradition.

Having a strong sense of community, Ally shares with Co-Director Rebecca Barbarino the vision of a ConsciousNest Community, where all are welcome, nurtured, respected and given the opportunity to learn, grow and heal together.
